How To Ride Braking Bumps | Mountain Bike Skills

Braking bumps are the enemies of fun! Flow trails lose their flow and become bumpy, gnarly arm destroying minefields. Well what if we told you it doesn’t have to be this way? Because it doesn’t! Braking bumps are unfortunately a fact of life in a bike park! Varying riders skill levels, types of terrain, levels of rainfall and braking points all contribute to these often savage bumps! Often, we just have to admit that it might not be anyones fault, it’s just a by-product of having a good time on your bike! You can do three things, adapt your riding to deal with the bumps, adapt your bike set up to deal with the bumps or grab a shovel and get involved (where you’re allowed)!
