They say that “going green” is trendy. They also say that going green is about sustainable living and preservation of the environment. That, it is the pursuit of knowledge and practices that lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles; such as to “reduce, reuse and recycle.” To this end, it helps to protect the environment and sustain our natural resources for current and future generations.
For me, going green is about “living a green lifestyle.” Moreover, there is one definition of going green, as there is one person, only, who can save and sustain our speedily degrading and highly abused environment. To understand a green lifestyle better is to know that green is and represents the color of nature, fertility (productivity), and life. A depleted environment as ours can only be sustained by cleansing and salvation (Tit 2:11).
Green is the color of salvation, a new nature, and life in Christ Jesus. Going green in Christ (that is partaking in His divine nature—2Pet 1:4) is restful, breeds self-worth enhances well-being and ensures balance in your life. A green lifestyle means a life of safety, transformation, and growth; a life of the Master healer and deliverer (Psa 18:2; Rom 11:26). It is a life packed with the powerful energy of God’s Heavenly nature, of freedom, and of liberty to pursue after God’s new living ideas (Heb 10:19-20).
Is this your lifestyle, every day? If it is not, you may not be environmentally friendly. It means that you are being reduced, reused, and recycled through this depleted ecosystem (of temptations and troubles) we call our environment. God, our Heavenly Father, loves you dearly. His love makes known the truth, that can set you free (Jn 8:32) from being recycled and reused, and to become the unique person He made you be (1Pet 2:9).
Nothing and nobody should stop you from going green.
